I think Diouf's header from Selgato's cross against Chelsea at Ewood was sublime. I'm not one to often big up Diouf but that was the day he delivered with style.
CW- You need to do what's right for you mate. Give it some thought first and see.

i think everybody is taking a wee end of season break.give it time before we make harsh decisions.besides,no point making dates for an AGM until the fixture list comes out.that way we can try and put mark on branch trips

Ive done alot of thinking lads and think best choice is to do my own thing and i want to make it clear i have a problem with nobody within the club.
Ive enjoyed my couple of sesasons in it but im not getting enough out of it for various reasons so i should just do my own thing from now on.
Your more than welcome to come with me to games and meet up for live games and a good booze up!

CW- its important you do what's best for you but are you sure you are doing the right thing. Like, I know you have had a few concerns as of recent but when you look at the full picture the club offers tremendous value. Like mate, its £18 a year. That really is very little when you look at what you get back. Even if you where to put a value on one of the many benefits. Like even this forum is worth more than £1.50 a month to me. From it I have made contact with other Rovers supporters in NI and have been able to join up with like minded people at games.
I have been on 2 branch trips last season and on each I gathered benefits to a much higher value than £18 per year.
I know you are frustrated at how quiet the forum has been recently but that's just life. People have different work patters and different interests outside of football and as such will devote as much time to it as they see fit. I go on it when I can but with a busy work life, demanding missus and 2 kids there is only so much time that can be spent talking about football online.
I believe Simon is hoping to plan the meeting when the fixtures are released which is why he was trying to call you I guess. Looks like you guys have just got conflicting shift patters at the moment.
Mate as I say, you need to do what's right for you but I firmly believe that you can get value from the club. I am new to NIBRSA and the club has other new members like Emmet and others I haven't met. I'm looking forward to us all working together with Simon to inject new blood and excitement and hopefully build on what is already a fantastic foundation. I for one believe it would be a shame if you guys are not part of that.
Why don't you sleep on it or have you made your mind up?

a couple of excellent points made brian,i mean,if some guys dont wanna renew membership for personal reasons, then thats totally their decisions and i totally respect that.but on the other hand,if members start to drop out, then its a real shame, especially the likes of ye guys,CW and Russell,as its die hards like ye that keep a club like this together.i think the biggest problem is that nobody knows each other, talked face to face,or if we have, then not often enough.id have gone to a lot more games had it not been down to not knowing some of the guys that was going.totally dependent on simon to come,or maria to come with me to keep me company.but if we know everybody in the club, and see a certain name on a travel list for a game, and we all know everybody on that list, then we will go to games a hell of a lot quicker, rather than go alone.also, the club and simon offer a lot more, than if we went alone, such as all travel and plans organised for you, match ticket, entry to blues bar.etc.thats a no hassle weekend away if you ask me.and for £18,its a charity.to be honest,i think we should be paying a lot more, when you compare it to other supporters clubs, who down south, pay E100's of euro to join up,no matter what club it is or what team.
im sure that no harsh decisions will be made until after the AGM at least.id hate to see any member not renew their membership, and then as the new season goes on,sees trips organised on nibrsa, and then totally regrets their decision.im looking forward to the AGM,as it could be the start of a huge revival for our supporters club.
unfortunately, the recession has hit everybody,so games, events, trips, etc,or maybe even football are not top of everybodys agends right now,or possibly ever again in the near future.but in the end,i definitely recommend to be a member of NIBRSA,rather than not being a member.at least that way,it gives you an option,to get involved for a while,or cool down for a while if you have other priorities.
ill put everything i can into this club to help make it work.i also think it a huge loss if we loose top members
