TUGAY ON THE MOVE.Former Blackburn Rovers midfielder and former winner of the NIBRSA Sporting Award, Tugay Kerimoðlu has been appointed Head of the Youth Team at Galatasary. Tugay waving farewell at Ewood Park, but is it for good?Galatasaray Chairman Adnan Polat said while speaking at the club’s annual general assembly last week, however it is believed that this offer was to lure him away from a tempting opportunity to return to Ewood Park. The former Rovers midfielder had held early talks with Rovers with regards an involvement in the club’s youth set up but Galatasaray's’s interest ultimately proved too good to turn down. Tugay informed Rovers chairman John Williams of his decision on Monday afternoon but stated he would one day relish the chance to return to Blackburn Rovers. Williams said: “ We did hold preliminary discussions with Tugay but this is a fantastic chance for him and we wish him all the best.” Tugay holds hero status with both Galatasaray and Rovers fans, having enjoyed 13 seasons with the Turks and the last eight years of his career at Ewood Park.
