guys,
i have just read a report on the bbc, that a very wealthy indian tycoon has approached BRFC about a possible takeover bid for the club.his reason for doing it is to show his feelings towards the club and the large indian population living in the blackburn area.
but..................the most insulting thing about this bid is that he only values the club at a meer £25 million pounds.to me,thats a disgrace.surely we are worth over double that amount.so i hope nobody is stupid enough at the club or on the board to even consider the bid or even try to negociate with him.
whats your view on it?

Wo, a lot to take in. It is inevitable, in my view, that big money is required to have a strong presence in the premier league. With that in mind, I guess it had to happen. I would heavily question that valuation. On one hand the club, as a company, showed ridiculous losses to the city. On the other hand, surely the good will and assets must hold us in good stead. Like surely Ewood Park alone is worth a good chunk of that? Perhaps there is a lot of debt in the club though. The buyers may be spending tens of millions, the lion share of which is going to clear debts. I guess the Asian population of Blackburn would make the club attractive to an Indian buyer. I for one feel that anything which would encourage the local population, regardless of race, to buy tickets at Ewood Park is a good thing. However, a lot of our fellow supporters in Blackburn are a bit; well, racist to be frank, so I wonder how it is going down with them. The next 45 days will prove interesting but if this sale doesn’t go through then, from the article, it seems clear that Blackburn Rovers Football Club is well and truly for sale.

No way. Complete take-over is not in the club's best interests, certainly a bit of investment wouldnt go amiss but the club is already well-run by John Williams and for such a small town club to compete in the Prem is a hell of an achievement. Dont rock the boat, if it ain't broke, etc etc!!!!!!!!!
